We are a non-profit cultural and educational organisation based in Bologna (Italy), active in non-formal music education, cultural promotion and social inclusion through artistic practices. We collaborate with schools, local institutions and communities, and we are open to European cooperation.

1. Who we are
Jam Session APS is a cultural and educational non-profit organisation established in Bologna. Our work combines music education, community engagement and inclusive practices.
We deliver small-group learning pathways for children, young people and adults, with a strong focus on access, motivation and continuity. We also collaborate with local stakeholders to run cultural activities that strengthen participation and social cohesion.
2. What we do (established expertise)
- Non-formal music education in small groups
- Design and management of continuous learning pathways
- Music therapy and the use of music in educational and social contexts
- Work with people with disabilities and inclusive group facilitation
- Music activities in multicultural settings
- Educational initiatives focused on preventing early school leaving
- Territorial cultural activities and community-based initiatives
3. Areas we are developing (as project partner)
- Structured support for emerging young artists (mentoring, guidance, skills-building)
- European artistic mobility and international exchange formats
- International cultural network-building and partnership development
- Audience development at international level
- Transnational cultural cooperation and co-creation processes
We are keen to develop these competences through partnerships with experienced organisations, learning by doing and contributing with our local capacity for piloting and community engagement.
4. Our role in European projects
At this stage, Jam Session APS is mainly available as a project partner, contributing operationally to educational and inclusive activities, local piloting of actions, community engagement and small-scale dissemination.
We can support partners with participant outreach and recruitment, facilitation of learning activities, hosting visiting staff or artists, and the organisation of public moments such as showcases, workshops and community events.
We are not currently positioning ourselves as lead applicant for large-scale European projects, but we are open to structured collaborations and progressive growth pathways at European level.
